About the Event
Explore the beauty and significance of black hair with us at our Black Hair Love event! Join us on Saturday, April 20th from 1:00 - 2:30 pm for a panel discussion featuring author and licensed cosmetologist Hailey Robinson, alongside other esteemed hair care professionals. Then, dive into our hands-on hair styling workshop to master braid and twist techniques. Each participant will leave with a special hair care gift.
About the workshop leader: Hailey Robinson
Hailey Robinson is a native of Okmulgee, OK. Today, she resides in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex. Hailey is corporate recruiter, student & entrepreneur (i.e. cosmetologist, author and content creator). As a Black and Chickasaw woman, Hailey recognizes the importance of representation and the power of telling her own story. Her love of [Black] natural hair care began in the summer of 2012, when she decided to ‘big chop’ and return natural. Since then, she’s accumulated a following of over 17,000 people on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook and has fallen in love with helping people along their natural hair journey. She has created hundreds of natural hair tutorials and haircare related videos. Aside from hair, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, creating, doing community work with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and hopes to create one more children's book for Black boys.
