About the Event
Please join us for the inaugural meeting of The Sister Circle! This event, hosted by UT Medical Center, will provide an inviting space for women of color to share their birth stories, ask questions and offer feedback about maternal/child health in Knoxville.
Join OB/GYN, Dr. Welch-Charles, Certified Nurse Midwife, Jodie Simms-MacLeod and Certified Doula and Childbirth Educator, Ty Roberts, for a time of fellowship and open discussion with the goal of implementing positive changes around women’s healthcare.
Registration is required and lunch will be provided. (We unfortunately cannot accommodate children during this first event.) To assist in kickstarting our discussion, please consider submitting a topic or a question below to be shared anonymously during our meeting. For this first event, we do ask that all participants identify as people of color due to limited space.
Masks are required. We look forward to meeting you at The Sister Circle! For more information, please call the Regional Perinatal Program at 865-305-9300.
