About the Event

In this workshop, Phil Tucker of Shade Tree Therapy will discuss navigating industry challenges and building resilience by addressing common challenges in the creative industry, developing coping mechanisms for resilience, and setting goals for personal and professional growth. Space is limited, so sign up now. All are welcome to join!

Mindful Greeting

We will begin each session with a grounding mindfulness exercise to set our intentions and create an imagination-friendly atmosphere.

Monthly Topic

We will engage with a wide range of themes, from personal narratives to cultural expressions, providing direction for creative exploration. This session is centered in Navigating Industry Challenges and Building Resilience:

  - Discussing common challenges in the creative industry.

  - Developing coping mechanisms for resilience.

 - Goal-setting for personal and professional growth.

While topics build on one another, the non-linear structure will make it accessible for newcomers or those who cannot attend every session.

Writing Support

Participants will be given time to work on a project of their choosing. Expect a judgment-free environment where participants feel comfortable sharing their work and discussing challenges. Upon request, participants will receive support as needed to deal with creative blocks such as imposter syndrome, anxiety, and other challenges that hinder creativity. Writers will be equipped with tools to overcome obstacles, promoting resilience and confidence in their creative endeavors.
